SK-II On Sale!!
Coming back from Maxwell Hill, white spots start to appear on my innocent face. A few on the both sides of the cheek, two big spots on top of my forehead, tiny spots on top of my eyebrow. I had these before (but not as much as this time), coming back from Kinabalu Mountain. Saw Dr. Ranjit at Subang 15, and he said it was purely skin reaction to sun. Was prescribed some stuff.
Then I thought it has gone away. I have bravely purchased the so much said about around town SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (RM285) then SK-II Oil Control something Moisturizer (around RM240). It was supposed to do wonder to me. I've checked the ingredients, no Salicylic Acid (Azam Zikry is a G6PD, thus Salicylic Acid is harmful to him) , no Lanolin (which could make the sun sentivitiy problem worsened).
[How do I know Japanese have problems with writing ingredients?!!]
When I saw Dr. Ranjit again yesterday on the spots, he promptly asked what do I use now. SK-II lah. Then he explained that these off-counter products would have chemicals that would worsened my skin.
And then he diagnosed my skin as (last time it was sun sensitivity) light sensitivity. It means I am sensitive to sun, computer screen, room lighting and every little source of light! Was told to wear SPF15 when in the room and SPF higher when out of room!
My skin products should only come from EGO and Simple range as these are without chemicals.
Therefore, my SK-II now is on sale. My Facial Treatment Essence is now 80% used (I was very very careful, 5 drops per usage), original price is RM285, I'm selling it out for RM140. The moisturizer (for combination-oily skin about 90% used) is RM100. But if you buy both, I'll give you the price of RM180.
May you be happier with the SK-II and skin be as beautiful as Deanna Yusoff.

Bossy Lady Boss errr..Not A Boss, yet.
Purchasing a house is a major process. For a Malay woman, it is a
labyrinth. I tell you why.
First, you get to make sure that your husband agrees to your ideas. It's
important whether he thinks you are financially eligible. It's important
too that he agrees whether it is a good investment. (Perhaps buying a
house when you are single is a better choice).
You need to take some days off from work. To settle the deposit. To
withdraw some from EPF. Lawyer's apointments. Financier arrangement.
The EPF, lawyer's office and the financiers office are usually in the
middle of the city, where parking was unbelievably insufficient. This is
where you need your husband's agreement to the whole idea so that you
may drag him to sit in the car waiting while you signing up your S&P.Or
dropping the kids to school so that you may rush to see the lawyer
before a Section Meeting scheduled at 10:00.
You, however, can opt to persuasively invite the company's driver
(read: COMPANY'S DRIVER) to drive you to the lawyer's office or the
bank. Doing that, you don't have to take days off from work. Neither you
need to face your husband long nag thru the journey. Coming back from
the lawyer's office, you may ask the driver to park and wait by the bank
for you to withdraw some money, and buy some donuts or something.
A-haaaaaaa...
Unbelievable? Believe it! My colleague has just done so and she is not
yet a Manager. I wonder how many errands she'll ask the company driver
to do for her is she is ever a General Manager. Collecting dry cleaning?
Buying onions for soup for dinner? Or Mercillon?
No wonder the management never consider her for a Manager's post
eventhough she's been knocking on the doors showing off her Master's
scroll. Doesn't she just get it, it's not about the education, it's
about THE attitude and sincerity. Somehow I got a feeling that it isn't
MONEY that she is after, it's the feeling of being a boss.
Then you see, for her, it is not really a labyrinth. Being bossy solves
it all.
*Sorry le mengumpat sikit ye*
Sing This To Me and I'll Melt ...
Talk to me softly
There's something in your eyes
Don't hang your head in sorrow
And please don't cry
I know how you feel inside I've
I've been there before
Somethin's changin' inside you
And don't you know
Don't you cry tonight
I still love you baby
Don't you cry tonight
Don't you cry tonight
There's a heaven above you baby
And don't you cry tonight
Give me a whisper
And give me a sigh
Give me a kiss before you
tell me goodbye
Don't you take it so hard now
And please don't take it so bad
I'll still be thinkin' of you
And the times we had...baby
And don't you cry tonight
Don't you cry tonight
Don't you cry tonight
There's a heaven above you baby
And don't you cry tonight
And please remember that I never lied
And please remember
how I felt inside now honey
You gotta make it your own way
But you'll be alright now sugar
You'll feel better tomorrow
Come the morning light now baby
And don't you cry tonight
An don't you cry tonight
An don't you cry tonight
There's a heaven above you baby
And don't you cry
Don't you ever cry
Don't you cry tonight
Baby maybe someday
Don't you cry
Don't you ever cry
Don't you cry
Tonight
The Greatest Love Song, and The Coldest One
When I look into your eyes
I can see a love restrained
But darlin' when I hold you
Don't you know I feel the same
'Cause nothin' lasts forever
And we both know hearts can change
And it's hard to hold a candle
In the cold November rain
We've been through this auch a long long time
Just tryin' to kill the pain
But lovers always come and lovers always go
An no one's really sure who's lettin' go today
Walking away
If we could take the time to lay it on the line
I could rest my head. Just knowin' that you were mine
All mine
So if you want to love me
then darlin' don't refrain
Or I'll just end up walkin'
In the cold November rain
Do you need some time...on your own
Do you need some time...all alone
Everybody needs some time...on their own
Don't you know you need some time...all alone
I know it's hard to keep an open heart
When even friends seem out to harm you
But if you could heal a broken heart
Wouldn't time be out to charm you
Sometimes I need some time...on my own
Sometimes I need some time...all alone
Everybody needs some time...on their own
Don't you know you need some time...all alone
And when your fears subside
And shadows still remain
I know that you can love me
When there's no one left to blame
So never mind the darkness
We still can find a way
'Cause nothin' lasts forever
Even cold November rain
Don't ya think that you need somebody
Don't ya think that you need someone
Everybody needs somebody
You're not the only one
You're not the only one

Moneyed Friends
The Man, my sweet man, has mulled over the thought over the weekends. I know how close they are but still, when it comes to money, I feel that there should be boundaries.
I, once was a silly friend when it comes to money. Fazura (of course, not real name, what you thinnk I am, a mother and still find time to frequent the club? get a grip!) was a close friend since we were 13. We got caught together by the school warden, we tried our first puff together (haha), we hate the same seniors, we shared KFC Banana Split, we had secret names to call some weird boys and some cute crush, you name it. Me and her, we were partner in crimes. She was still a close friend, answered each of my phone calls with laugh and silly accents, even after we left school and started uni and started work. We invented the word calculatoq (calcultor with a Kedah accent!). Her place was the place I and the other girls crashed whenever we came to KL for anything.
When she called me up asking me to sign up for a loan with Bank Rakyat to get some cash for her Master, I in no doubt said yes. The Man, a boyfriend at that time, was the guarantor. We took about RM18k, RM6K was for me and the rest was for hers. The RM6k was for the initial months where she doesn't have to pay me, since she had another debt to serve. Then come to payment part. The Bank Rakyat was conveniently deducting my pay monthly of RM408 and I waited patiently for her to bank in RM408 before end of the month.
Then I started to know that the money wasn't for her Master. She didn't get to finish up her Master. She then got a new car, though.
Then her TV station has started delaying giving salaries.
It was tough. I shoot her email everytime the month end (after giving her about a week). I called her after two weeks has lapsed.
Sad thing I remembered, it was her birthday and she took a while to answer my call.
Me: Hey, what up?
Her: Okaylah
Me: How's work?
Her: Okaylah.
Me: It's been a while we haven't talked. It's your birthday today.
Her: Yup I know. Everytime you called, it's always about the money.
Silence.
Me: Happy birthday!
Her: Thanks.
No more laugh. No more silly accents. It was plain and dry.
Now the TV station was taken over by another, the money rolled into my account each of 30th. I'm glad I don't have to call nor email her no more.
But that doesn't change the fact that it has strained the friendship.
I can't wait for end of 2006, where the debt was finally fully serviced and we might get to enjoy our silly accents conversation once again. We might. We might not.
Thing is, we know these friends by heart. We know how their parents are, what their dreams are until we can't set any boundaries anymore. It was the matter of them achieving what they want and how we, the only human understanding them, can help.
If they have their parents to help them, why should they ask us first?
If they have other close friends to save the day, why should they ask us first?
Now, isn't that just important, being the first to ask when they are financially in need of help.
Isn't being important is what human always looking for?
What Kind of Wife Are You?
the North South Expressway (Alasan!) Hahaha
Was having this conversation with Murali on the kind of wife his should
be. His is a very young wife, got married at the age of 23, likes to be
pampered, cepat merajuk and hopes to have him by her side to do almost
everything
We talked about having her wife educated. I mean, get more socialized,
know how to drive around town and can make decision on her own. It could
be very troublesome if you have someone at home to drive the kids to
school or dentist appointment but still you have to take leave from work
to do such things. Please, people, use your resources!
But it is good to be pampered and having everything taken care off,
isn't it?
Bukit Larut Trip
We then headed to the North while I was mulling over on two choices of sleeping at Casuarina Inn with the rest of the group or crashing at Hafiz' place (Hafiz was the Man's best friend when they were at Uni of Melbourne, still is, you know the kind of best buddy who one would ask the other to be the best man). Thinking that the Man and I will have to go to separate rooms (we booked two rooms for the girls and two rooms for the boys), and it'll be so hard to separate the clothings and towels that were packed in one bag, we slashed Casuarina Inn. We met Hafiz for dinner then we zoomed in straight to his house.
His house is a bungalow! (Wa cakap lu!) Pokemon and Slash are still alive (Opaque was a gone case) but they sleep outside, roaming the town of Taiping at their heart desire. We slept in Hafiz' master bedroom, equipped with a/c and squeaking bed! AZ hit the sack and gone safely to the dreamland, quicker before mommy can finished up saying 'lullaby'. I let the Man talked his heart out to long-time-no-see buddy.
In the morning, we woke up and Hafiz led us to Casuarina Inn. Had toast then started driving to the foot of Maxwell Hill while the rest walked. Maxwell Hill (Bukit Larut)is run by government, so you'll expect very little of words sila, terima kasih, please, maaf. And please expect a very slow registration process. We even have to lift our luggage to the jeep ourselves. I don't mind the fact that we gotta do that on our own but the way they said it, "Bag kita tak angkat, angkat sendiri!", was unbearably pain.
My heart beat so fast for the jeep ride. I sat at the front with AZ on my lap. There were a few sharp bends, two of them were like 360 degrees (Betul lah!)with almost 78 degrees slope. I was holding AZ tightly when suddenly a Telekom Pajero came down rushing on the one way lane, screeching. Both drivers quickly slammed the brake while us screamed at the top of our lungs. AZ heart was beating so fast. I gave a very sharp luring look to the TM driver. The near death collision was a total blown up for me. I held AZ tight, wondering that if I die and he gets to live, will he be happy without me? *Soppy clipperseep!*
Anyway, we couldn’t check in yet since the bungalow was occupied. So we arrived at 9:30, wondering around until 11:00 where the last occupant has emptied the bungalow, then we gotta wait the caretaker to do their housekeeping and we didn’t get to go in until 12:00. So people, if you are taking the jeep to Maxwell Hill, please be there after 11:00. It was pain waiting under the hot sun (eventhough the temperature was chilling) with a baby to carry and the caretaker didn’t care much to offer me a place for AZ to nap. (Have I written that the whole accommodation and transportation is serviced by Government?)
Daddy was the second to arrive, he was fast but cramp on his leg got him. Then we had lunch of sardine and bread, then took a nap. At four we climbed down with jeep. This time I have prewarned the driver to drive slowly. The whole team waved us bye and I felt guilty of not being there. I mean, the purpose of climbing Maxwell Hill is to reminiscing the memory of Kinabalu climb, without us, the story wasn’t complete.
However, the night safari diminished the guilt fast. The view was fantastic. Panthers were among the most active ones. They had the giraffe’s feeding bowl outside her area so her long neck was beautifully extended nearer to us to eat. The jaguar stood proudly in the middle of her area, the lionnes were asleep, the rhinos were tergolek sleeping, the elephants were eating non-stop and the African sauna’s e.g. zebra, ostrich and gazelles were still up, running and roaming around. I was surprised to see that the ostriches taller than the zebras.
So AZ got to see Nibbles the Giraffes, Lion the Leo the Lion Cub’s Mother, Horns the Gazelles (his favorite animal in Leo’s Safari), Tusk the Elephant and Spike the Rhino.
Mission accomplished.
I finally got to show the real animals to my son! (Eventhough I think Mommy was more excited than the son).
We slept over then zoomed in back to Lenggong after 11:00. Went to Nazuha’s engagement kenduri and hit the highway back to KL. I drove from after Ipoh to Sungai Buluh and the hot glaring sun was killing my eyes. Dropped AZ at K Endon’s and arrived home, had a bath and I slept until morning!! I didn’t notice when did the Man picked AZ up nor what he did downstairs, cleaning up and unpacking.
Remind me of a good husband I got married to.

Bukit Larut Trip
Fooh!
This is a blog or what?Anyway, last Friday, the Man brought AZ to the office and I don't know why but it meant so much for me to see my son's face at my work place. It's just like, his happy face has taken over all the dreadful things happened / said / done within the four boring walls. He was seated next to his Daddy at the waiting area, macam orang besar! Upon seeing my face, he tailed me to the Operation Room while screaming. I swooped him into my arms and he refused to salam everybody else.
At Last, Man and Wife They Are!
Congratulations, the heartiest one, to happy couple Christine Darling and Wai Ho. The happy day was on February the 13th at Putrajaya.
Both of them are the products of the NETS7, just like me and The Man. Don't ask why do they wait until we have a 1 year old baby to get married!!
Anyway, I had exactly the same dress bought from the Blook specially to attend their wedding.

Long Break Cured Me
Mak and the whole squad came over on Saturday and I brought them to Ikea. Apak was babbling about that wood, that piece, the structure, the resistance when it suddenly occured to my mind that he actually knew all this stuff! Didn't he go to that Teacher Training College who taught all about carpentry? Yes! How I forget. Mak was wailing behind us, the big store simply tiring her. Kesian. Alang and Yan wondered happily around the store. When we went down to Level 1, they spent more time that Apak decided to stop for hot MILO. We spent most of the time at the kitchen where all the utensils were.
Ikea was a nice place to see but I now think twice of buying anything. I went last week with the Man and bought an open folder kinda thing for office when I noticed that one of the plastic junction has came off. That needs change. Then I went again, together with Mak, (forgetting to bring that plastic folder), bought two stools for the small round table in the operation room where one stool was not equipped with the neccessary nuts and screws. Cess!!! You fooled me, Sweden what-so-eva! My new kitchen cabinet will surely WON'T come from the grand Ikea, thank you very much.
I, however, went down again to Ikea on Monday with Kak Endon and the kids and Azam Zikry. They simply loved the showroom, berangan of how their new house will look like. I let them be. Then, I got myself a compartment kinda thing to place all my scattered lippies, eye colors and stuffs. (Lesson learnt on Saturday diminished fast)
We went back to Bangi on Monday evening, spent a night there and we ate out at this nice place call Cafe 24 something. The setting was nice, traditional malay furniture but a bit sempit. People had to turn their butt sideways here and there. The food was nice, the JUICE was extra nice, I think.
Tuesday we went to see Papa's relative whose father had just passed away at somewhere Sentul. Then we went to the Mall (where Yaohan was, remember?) and the Man got himself a pair of Hush Puppies.
I came to office on Wednesday to prepare the trend of the quality analysis for the big meeting coming up next week. We sent AZ off to K Endon's then we went for our little date at Sunway Pyramid watching Buli Balik. The movie was hillarious, maybe the fact that we know some of the people made it even funnier. The Man was babbling about how it ended, that the ending was unclear to him but for me it was not important. The important is both Afdlin (Nordin) and Hans (Masron) were fighting AC Mizal at the end together, metaphored them fighting their evil side, Nordin's hatred to those who belittled and bullied him and Masron's evil twin the Bully and the hatred towards his own Dad. Sleek!! I like....!!
Yesterday, the first day at work was quite quiet and calm. I finished off the tender report, the Quality System Procedure for the spot tender then prepare some more for the big meeting.
Better write a birthday card for him now before starting work.
