My First Paper

On Wednesday, I presented a paper at one of the workshop where we were supposed to be the shooting target. Wasn't really scared since I know that the bosses were around to answer. I've gone thru the presentation with Shaiful once and I know which part will be the hit target.However, I wrote a manuscript, just in case. Practiced about three times the night before and was spending the time waiting for my paper dragging around Azrina to beg her revamping my database.

Came my turn, which people told it's gonna be the hottest paper, I remained calm. They told me to wait since the biggest boss has not arrived and she is very much interested in the subject. When she arrived, I took my place and told the audience that the delay was because I just had to go and redo my hair!

The slides went smoothly and I managed to slip in a few jokes (which I think silly). Questions came, and I asked from the MD the permission to answer that myself. When the biggest boss finally spoken, I turned for the talian hayat of my bosses which then came to my rescue with me standing at the rostrum clicking slides.

Not so much things done huh.... But when I stepped down, I heard 'well dones' from some people. Shaiful smsed me after that to congratulate too. I was like, okay, you guys were there to answer the questions. There isn't so much opportunity to portray how well I am with the subject (which I don't think I am very much!).

But today, it only hit me that I was actually GOOD! (haha masuk bakul angkat sendiri). My slides somehow had enlightened some people's confusion. Azrina told me that if it's somebody else who presented, he/she'd be shot (and I wasn't). Sobri personally told me I did good and a few other people. I am so floating! Ballooning up!
